Alberta CoLab was disbanded in March 2020. This page exists as a historical record. Alberta CoLab's stewardship of SDX ended in March 2020. Moving forward, SDX will be convened by Skills Society in collaboration with other order of government partners. SDX
stands for Systemic Design eXchange. It began as a unique partnership between Alberta
CoLab and the Skills Society Action Lab.
SDX
is an Edmonton-based community of practice that convenes unusual suspects
interested in learning about systemic design as a methodology for addressing
complex, real world issues. With
a bias towards learning by doing, SDX aims to be a watering hole where multiple
sectors can come together, learn together, and act together. Everyone is welcome. Together,
SDX explores systems thinking, design thinking, and change lab approaches. To learn

SDX is also a case study in the OECD's Observatory of Public Sector Innovation.
